Ombudsman Lesotho Marks Historic Milestone with Launch of New EU – Funded Regional Office in Mohale’s Hoek
Today marks one of the most significant milestones in the history of the Office of the Ombudsman Lesotho (OoO), as the institution officially launched a new regional office in Mohale’s Hoek. This achievement comes through generous support from the European Union, which has funded the establishment of two regional satellite offices – one in Mohale’s Hoek and another in Botha-Bothe.
For almost 32 years, the Office of the Ombudsman has operated solely from its headquarters in Maseru. The expansion into the districts marks a transformative step toward increasing accessibility, strengthening service delivery, and ensuring that communities across the country can more easily exercise their right to administrative justice.
