WORKSHOP FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN
The OoO attended a three day workshop developing the office’s strategic plan. This is a five year strategic plan (2025_2030) that will guide the office. The workshop began with self-assessment, considering where we are coming from, and realization of the Office’s current situation to map the way forward. The stakeholders were also engaged to take part in the formation of this important document. Among the stakeholders that took part in sharing their views and perspectives were the media, Public Service, DCEO and Justice Sector Reforms.
Mr. Khoai Matete who is a consultant in strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting and performance management and Professor Victor Ayeni who is an expertise in Ombudmanship area have been engaged by the Office of the Ombudsman to assist in developing a 5_year strategic plan under the auspices of the Support for the Reforms and Strengthening of Governance in Lesotho projects under the European Union (EU). The strategic plan development process involves the leadership of the OoO, managers, and key staff as well as key stakeholders.
